This is this weeks offering, I used the same style I had used on a previous card as I really liked it and Kristina obviously inspired me with her the butterfly image.  And for the ladies who know how rubbish I am at hand cutting, check out my butterfly - I was really pleased with myself!  Hope you like it!

Supplies used were - Choc Chip Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (tangerine tango not available in the UK), So Saffron Cardstock and Whisper White cardstock.  Touch of Nature Stamp set and also  Yummy (free sale-a-bration set).  Clear embossing powder, versamark ink, sponge daubers, So Saffron Ink Pad and Choc Cip Ink Pad as well as the Stampin Write markers in Choc Chip and So Saffron.  Choc Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch and 1 1/16" handheld circle punch.

I also made this cute box for my mum for Mothers Day and I used the new Scallop Oval and Oval nesting punch and the new striped ribbon which is a welcome addition to the Stampin Up family.  I am working on a tutotorial for the box and once I have worked out all the dimensions I will try and put it on my blog.  I love the peek-a-boo window!

A little Mothers Day card.....

Happy Mother Day to all you special mums out there.  I did a workshop a Mother and daughter workshop on Friday night and this is the card the very talented group of young ladies made for their mums.

 

We used the All in the Family stamp set and the Family Accessories.  Each young lady made her card using her own family as inspiration so they did not all look the same.  They really enjoyed making the people and handled the Stamp-a-majig brilliantly!  We used the sentiment from occasional greetings and the flowers were from the Simply Said stamp set.  Not sure if any of you spotted it but the ribbon is from the new mini catalogue and will be available from the 1st April so if you fancy free post and packing place your pre-order with me before March 31st so that you are one of the first to get your hands on the new goodies!  All the people were coloured in with the Stampin' Write markers.

I also made a box project with the mums which I will be posting piccies of in the next few days,

I really hope the mums loved their cards and appreciated all their hard work, I'm off for a glass of wine - it is still mothers day you know!

I have been doing something, honest.......

My blog has been quieter than I woudl have liked but I am finding life incredibly hectic at the moment.  March is a busy month for Birthdays with two 25th Wedding Anniversarys, one 60th birthday, one seventieth birthday, mothers day and numerous birthdays.  So last Saturday I had a card making day, no worries about only using certain colour combinations or products  - just creating.  The weather was gorgeous but it felt good just to be catching up.

 

I am no fool though and if I was making a card of a design I thought I could use again I made a few just changing some of the cardstock used.

I saw this card on someones blog but I am sorry I can't remember where as it was a while ago now but I hope you like it too.

 

Supplies used -

Three for You Punch Box (retired item but still available - grab it quickly!) Sahara Sand, basic black and whisper white cardstock. Half round pearls from the Pretties Kit and Choc Cip Taffeta ribbon.  Creamy caramel ink and basic gray ink and also the fiskars tear drop corner punch all finished off with the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. Very simple and I love it.

K Werner Colour Inspiration #45

 

A bit of a challenge this week as I really wanted to add an accent colour but I love having to think outside the box.  I have had a card making day today and got caught up today with lots of birthdays, mothers day cards etc so I shall upload more photos next week.

I used an old favourite for my card template today, a small square 10.5cm" card embossed with swiss dots and mounted with a patterned paper off cut.  the scallop and circle is cut using nestabilities and I used a bit of Stampin Up Grey tafetta ribbon.  I used the happy birthday from Occasional greetings stamp set and I stamped the inside with a greeting from the curvy verses Stampin Up set.  Hope you like it x

Stampin Up Mini Catalogue & Paper share

I am sure most of you will have already heard that Stampin Up has launched it's first UK mini catalogue which is great news and the products are all new and never seen before in the UK.  I am still waiting for my pre-order items to arrive but as soon as they do I will post some cards made using the products, especially the scallop oval punch which is just gorgeous.  I do love SU punches as they are made by EK Success and give a quick and quality punch everytime.  I also own the nestabilities dies but reach for my punches first wherever possible.

KWerner Colour Inspiration #44

   

Wow thanks for a grat colour scheme Karen.  I have been thinking out the card I would make with these colours for days now and have only just found the time to make it.  I actually sat at my crop and made this card which I don't normaly do but I was really happy with the result.

 

Supplies used were whisper white cardstock and pretty in pink cardstock.  Baroque Motifs Stamp Set, canvas stamp for the pink carvas at the bottom of the whisper white cardstock (hard to see in this photo) and also the happy birthday stamp is from Occasional Greetings.  Choc Chip Ink, Pink Pirouette Ink and Pretty In Pink Ink. Versamark and clear embossing powder to highlight the flower and Choc Chip Grograin Ribbon and of course the lovely scallop edge punch!

I also made another card with the same idea but added a scallop punch flower greeting, which is your favourite?

 

The only extra supplies used in this card was Close to Cocoa Cardstock, creative cafe self adhesive brown gems, scallop circle punch and the circle of friendship stamp with a little pink gingham ribbon.

KWerner Colour Inspiration #43

Hi ladies, here is my latest attempy at Kristina's colour inspiration  Nearly all the colours chosen ar my absolute faves from Stampin Up and I am not sure why I chose an Easter card as the colour combination did not scream easter and was not pastels but I looked at the stitched choc chip ribbon and thought - wow that would look nice as a woven basket.....

   

 So the supplies used were Spring Fling Stamp set, ink in all the colours specified in the colour challenge, choc chip stitched ribbon, scallop edge punch, scallop punch, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, whisper white, pumpin pie and  brocade blue cardstock and the little bunny is from the occasionally stamp set!  Hope you like it, please leave a comment...
