Hi Ladies, I am off to a Stampin Up get together and have been busy making 25 cards for a card swap so I should come home with lots of inspiration, have a great weekend - I miss Kristina Werners blog :-(

Thank you to all the kind ladies who left comments on my last blog post, I love to hear from the people who are reading my blog.

 

I made this card using the following supplies -

Whisper White,  regal rose and rose red cardstock.  Garden Silhouettes hostess stamp set  and the Ocassionally stamp set (love this set as it is so versatile) using the rose red and old olive markers.  Versamark and gold embossing powder and ribbon from the retired card kits.  Also the scallop border punch, and a little of the gold sakura pen to highlight the middle of the flowers.  Simple but effective...

K Werner Color Inspiration #39

I'm on a roll!!  This is my second colour inspiration challenge in as many weeks.  I waasn't over the moon with the colour choices this week but love the result.  Its relatively easy to make a card using colours you love or use often but when you have to use colours you wouldn't ordinarily use then it challenges you to push your creativity.  Here is the result.....

Supplies used are -

Basic black, whisper white, real red and so saffron Stampin Up cardstock.  Always Stampin Up stamp set and Sealed with a kiss Stampin Up stamp set.  Basic black ink, versamark, clear embossing powder and so saffron ink, also a real red Stampin Up marker.  Very vanilla ribbon, scallop border punch, 1/2" circle punch, paper piercer, stamp-a-majig, fire rhinestone brads and stampin dimensionals also from Stampin Up.  I also used the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder - one of my faves.

This is a picture of the inside as I love the stamp used from the Sealed with a Kiss stamp set. It is  only £12.95 for 6 valentine themed stamps and if you order them now you will get them before Valentines Day.

Donna Downey Damask Hybrid Album finally finished!!!

I took a class last year with the very talented Donna Downey and we used fabric to cover an album and its pages.  I loved the look and knew I would have to wait till the right photos came along before I could fill it.  Well the time has come.  I recently purchased some negatives from a family portrait session back in 2000.  I had not seen the photo's in almost 9 years but once I transferred the negs onto CD my heart filled with happy memories.  My children are now 10 and 12 and in these photos they were 2 and 4 so they have changed quite a bit!! I am really happy with the result even though my husband says it looks like a taco!!

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

K Werner Colour Inspiration #38

I just adore pink and orange together so when I saw K Werner's colour inspiration this week and I still had time to make a card I knew I had to do it.  I was recycling my Christmas cards this week and was inspired by one card in particular and used it as a sketch. 

Products used were- Whisper white cardstock, Pumpkin Pie designer series paper, Rose Red designer series paper, Sweet Always patterned paper, hostess pack designer series paper, Sealed with a kiss stamp set (used inside the card) all from Stampin' Up, chipboard spotty letters (not sure of the manufacturer), American Crafts chipboard heart and a little bit of ribbon, pva glue and Stampin' Dimensionals - Viola!  Tell me what you think......

Big Sale at the Padbury and Olney crop this weekend - Don't miss it!

It's the Padbury crop this weekend and I am holding a big blowout sale so why not come along and grab yourself a bargain!  I am also at the Olney crop on Sunday and will be bringing along my shop and having the sale there too!

I am looking forward to seeing the layouts made using this sketch.  Here is also a card I made using one of the new stamp sets from Stampin Up called Mr and Mrs and doesn't only have to be used for engagement and weddings as I love the '&' symbol and also the flower and circle stamps too. Supplies used: Whisper White Cardstock, Old Olive cardstock and Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. Baja Breeze Patterns Designer Series Paper, Kiwi Kiss ink and Chocolate Chip ink and 1 1/4" circle punch.  I also used a white gem stone for the centre of the flower inside the card.  Let me know what you think!

A Christmas Star Book......

I have made another star book and this time used Christmas themed papers from My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon.  I made the album just before Christmas and I managed to get the photo's and journalling done yesterday.  Quite a record for me to get the album done in the same year the photo's were taken.  I am still running this star book as a class and if you are interested please get in touch.
