A little Christmas card

   

This is a card I made for Suzane's party. It is a vey simple design and similar to the thank you card shown in an earlier post  I have used very vanilla cardstock and scallop border punched a piece of perfect plum cardstock.  I then tied some certainly celery ribbon round it.  I then stamped the holly stamp on old olive carstock in versamark and heat embossed it with th new gold heat embossing powder from Stampin' Up.  As a finishing touch I add three red brads as berries on the holly.  I then stamped the Peace Love and Joy stamp using the stamp-a-majig which helps to place your stamps so that they are straight and it is great for 2-step stampin' also.  I cannot live without this little tool.  The stamp set used was Happiest of Holidays and the word sentiment is from Occasional Greetings. Thank you card using Pocket Silhouettes

 

Just a quickie, I made this card usingone of the Stampin' Up stamp sets called Pocket Silhouettes.  I really love the simple and elegant designs and it has two phrases in the set too which say 'friend to friend' and 'thanks so much' so its really versatile.  I used Perfect Plum and Pale Plem cardstock, the scallop boder punch to edge the pale plum colour I then stamped my image using the SU markers in old olive for the stem and perfect plum for the flower head on white cardstock and mounted it  with tempting turquoise cardstock.  I then finished it off with the new 5/8" old olive grossgrain ribbon.  The pocket silhouette's set is £15.95 and the ribbon is £6.25 + shipping.

Get the items from your Wish List for Christmas without lifting a finger.....

Thanks for the inspiration Monica.  I thought I would post a picture of the covered notepads we made at the Open Day using the Tart and Tangy stamp set and the new Sweet Always Double Sided Papers which I love.  I also used Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and of course the scallop edge border punch.  That punch is appearing on all my projects lately.......  I also used the retired alphabits stamps set but you can still get your hands on it as they are not sold out yet but be quick.  It's only £13.95 for four different alphabets and used with the 1/4" punch at £3.95 it is so versatile.  Great little Christmas gifts!

Sorry for not blogging for a while, I have started a new job and had a special birthday and have had time to craft so thanks for being patient!  Sarah says she checks my blog and is fed up of seeing a post with the catalogue cover on so that is why this post is dedicated to her....

It's Here - New Stampin' Up Catalogue On-line NOW!

The new catalogue has launched today.  I have placed my first order and plan to have lots of the new products to show you at the Open Day at my home.  I have been busy making lots of different samples and will be posting photo's soon.  There are some lovely new stamp sets that are sure to be really popular.  Also Stampin' Up has introduced all new hostess gifts so it's a great time to host a workshop.
