Sweet Card using items from the Pretties kit

I really love how this card turned out.  You can't see very well but I used the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the front of the card and then cut some scallops using my nestabilities on the cuttlebug using SU whisper white and a piece of left over patterened scrapbooking paper.  I then stamped the circle design using seeing spots stamp set from SU.  I found  a button and some ribbon I had hanging around and then used the stick pin and beads from the SU Pretties kit to adorn the ribbon.  I also used a bead from the pretties kit and stamped the words using some of ths stamps from the daily flexible phrases stamp set.  The background card is basic black and the turquiose cardstock is tempting turquoise .  I hope my friend likes it, I must really like her as I am giving her my only copy! 

New Stampin' Up Catalogue coming soon

Acrylic Stamp storage

I know I shouldn't even own acrylic stamps (sorry Stampin' Up) but I do, several sets of them in fact.  It drives me screwy that they are all over the place and I sometimes forget to use them in projects as I have forgotten I even own them.  And for anyone who knows me, will also know I love storage.  So I have covered an old chipboard album and re-punched holes in the ill fitting page protectors and here is what I managed to rustle together.  I am so happy to have all my stamps in one easy view binder I might even get around to using them someday!

Also last weekend Simon put his back out and I am covered with bruises in an effort to empty the office of all the furniture and my supplies to repaint and change the carpet.  It looks great and Simon is on the mend, look out for some pictures soon.......

Birthday Card usign SU Designer Series Paper

I made this card for my brother-in-law using the Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper which is designed to coordinate beautifully together.  It's the August special offer this month.  I just covered the front of the card with a piece of Old Olive Designer Serier Paper and a piece from fall flowers.  I then made a pocket and used the cuttlebug to emboss the greeting on the front.  I put some money in the front pocket along with a nice photo of the birthday boy and his son.  I saw this card design on nicole heady's blog, I love her stuff!

Back blogging...

Hi girls, just got back from Portugal and itching to get scrapbooking/stamping.  Unfortunately I have loads of washing, cleaning to do so in the meantime I will post a little thank you card I made for my friend Jacqui.  A group of girls were going to her house for an evening of wine and scrapbooking ( a perfect combination) and I made this little thank you note to fit around the neck of the bottle.  I used the garden silhouettes stamps and the thank you stamp was from the three for you punch box.  The ribbon is from a collection by Elsie for KI Memories.  It was really quick and simple to make and really effective to take along to friends with a bottle and a box of choccies.  PS I didn't take elderflower cordial with me,  just used the bottle to take the photo!
